SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science was established in the year 2020 under the aegis of SMK Fomra Group of Institutions.
The Institution entered into a management partnership with D.A.V. Group, Chennai in November 2023 and the college was re-branded as DAV-SMK Fomra College (Arts & Science).
Since 1970, D.A.V. Group, Chennai (under the aegis of the Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society) has been serving society by providing affordable high-quality education rooted in Vedic values, while remaining relevant to the times. Vikas Arya, a DAV Alumnus, is a Chartered Accountant holding an MBA from IIM Bangalore with over two decades of experience in the financial and educational sectors, working with International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), Gaja Capital Partners, Crisil and General Motors.
He has learnt various aspects of Vedic philosophy at the Darshan Yog Mahavidyalaya, Gujarat and continues to be an avid Vedic Learner. He has also authored a series of Value Education books for children, titled ‘Fostering Vedic Values’.

An alumnus of DAV’s first batch (Class of 1975), Rajiv Choudhry wears many hats – he is a Life Skills & Leadership Coach, Educationist, Business Consultant, Curator & Creative Producer, Actor & Director.
Rajiv has over four decades of business and consulting experience spanning from manufacturing to media. He has trained over 50,000 participants using experiential learning methodologies and creative tools like theatre, film, art, sports and simulations. He has served on Manipal Board of Studies for Media, consulted for FICCI’s Animation Awards and been an Advisor & Speaker Coach for TEDx Chennai.
